Cucumber mint raita, or kheere ka raita, is a traditional Indian yogurt dish that can be served with any Indian meal: over or alongside lamb koftas, stuffed okra, or drizzled on naan. We enjoyed this cooling condiment as part of an Eat. Pray. Love. Party that my Mom and I hosted a short time ago.

cucumber mint raita
makes 1 pint
1 pint plain yogurt
5 inches cucumber, peeled and coarsely grated
2 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp celtic mineral sea salt
Put the yogurt in a bowl and whisk until smooth and creamy.
Add other ingredients and mix to combine.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
